KaalSarp, Me and Kids: Trimbakeshwar

Sometimes you do something only for the sake of keeping words of someone you love dearly. I did the same in the month of May this year. I believe in God but don't believe in rituals. I consider them as the tools by which Brahmin Samaj kept dominating other communities in India and enjoyed absolute power for thousands of year. Still only for the sake of showing respect to my parents I went to Trimbakeshwar where we performed Narayan Bali, Naag Bali and KaalSarp puja. In my Kundali one Pandit from Solapur found KaalSarp Dosha and he suggested my parents to do this Kaalsarp shanti puja in Trimbakeshwar and they agreed.  As per my Kundali 'untimely death' is written in my fate. Delay in marriage, failure in business, poor health were some more reasons why Pandit suggested KaalSarp Dosha Shanti puja for me and we did it. For me it was good religious trip with my family and an opportunity to meet my dear nephews after almost 4 years so I happily accepted it. I loved the Trimbak city and the Brahmagiri mountains around it. We trekked on the hill and took darshan of GangaGodavari aka Ahilya and Brahma temple. In the Hindu Mythology this is the same hill where Gautam rishi did his tapa to please God Shiva and sought a way to clean his sin of GoHatya. Shiva did Tandav Nritya and dashed his Jata to make Ganga flow in the form of Godavari there.
After Rameshwaram and Ujjain; Trimbakeshwar became the third Jyotirlinga visited by me. Hope lord Shiva invites me at rest of his temples very soon.
We went in summer there so temperature was very high. But still company of Golu, Sonu, Junu and Chinmay made my trekking easy. I find climbing Jivdani temple in Virar very difficult I don't know how I climed 750 steps of Brahmagiri hill that day. Ofcouse my legs pained for two consecutive days after that. Anyways after returning from Nasik I started my Trading again. This summer I am busy in teaching Class 10th Maths to Chinmay son of my eldest sister Meenatai. Chinu is good in all the other subjects but very weak in Maths. Therefore I am trying my best to make him understand concepts of the subject in detail.

Anyways, I will keep writing on this blog whenever I get soe spare time. This Blog has turned into my personal diary with lots of gloomy posts. Lol. Nevertheless  it's always good to write down your feeling somewhere instead of keeping them in your mind all the time.

1 NGO per 600 people in India

       NGO Boom in India

Today when I came across this news, I felt really bad. If there is 1 NGO per 600 people in India then why there is no improvement in the lives of beneficiaries? How these NGOs run? From where these funds come from and where does the all money go?

Can you imagine by the 2014 end above 1 lakh 10 thousands NGOs will exist in Maharashtra alone?  That's horrible. Most of the NGOs aren't even paying service taxes on their income. Cooking their accounts and taking help of corrupt audit inspectors. Trustees of NGOs do not have any rights to misuse money of people, but it seems there is no control over them. From my own experience I've realized that running and NGO becomes really tough as people don't come donate at all. There is less contribution from individuals towards society. They already pay so many taxes that they don't find any point in charity anymore.

So from where does these NGOs get money?  Builders, Politicians are using NGOs to convert their black money into white. There is rampant corruption in charity commissioner offices itself. Without bribe they even don't move files ahead. There is no fear left as they are not answerable to anyone. In all NGO sector is really very corrupt sector in India. Because of these corrupt NGOs people like us who actually wants to do some good work under NGOs suffer. If the reputation of this sector gets deteriorated, it will affect society really badly. Its time to wake up....We need strict laws against corruption in India as soon as possible.

NET Result

My NET result

Qualified NET exam of 30th June 2013 in Management

                              Deepbaazigar Qualifies NET exam finally

I don’t maintain regular diary and that is why I started this personal blog so as to check my recent past, current position and future journey in once glance. This blog also helps me introspect from time to time. In my last post dated on 19 June 2013, I had mentioned that qualifying NET or SET exam has become necessity for me so as to enter in a teaching field so that even after doing a Job, I can get plenty of time for Ashwamedh Group. Today I feel happy that “I DID IT” finally that too in my very first attempt of NET exam.
I cracked NET exam on 30th June 2013 in Management Subject with 63.43% in my very first attempt. Cut-off for General category was 61.71% and I comfortably qualified for lectureship. I got 255 marks out of 350 (Paper – 1: 72/100, Paper – 2: 62/100 and Paper – 3: 88/150). So on personal ground I consider it as a good achievement as this stage. Now how I will convert this Opportunity into Success is another thing.

Ashwamedh Group is still running with the speed of Tortoise, but the good thing is that we are still surviving and existing and that gives us all the hope that we are here to stay, grow and flourish some day. Irrespective of ups and downs in the morale of team mates, we are still glued with each other and trying to create our existence in a field new to us.
Ashwamedh Foundation has been established on 29th January 2013. We have got its Registration Certificate of Society but haven’t got Trust Certificate yet, and that is delaying the entire procedure. Legal aspects of running a Charitable Trust are seriously complicated and seriously frustrating. Getting good lawyer and CA on our Advisory board has become mandatory for us to smoothen the procedure.

Our first Study Centre of Ashwamedh’s Knowledge Centre which we started on 1st August 2013, will begin Operations from 1st November 2013. We have taken a place on rent in Santacruz as a temporary Office for our Audit related work of Ashwamedh Foundation. Rajendra Balsara will manage the centre as ‘Centre Manager’. Session 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. will be used as NGO Office and 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. as Study Centre. We are planning to carry out crash courses on Share Market and Banking Exam there.

My Wadala days Part - I

                                      Wadala Part - I

It's a time to move to Virar again. A stay in Wadala BSNL quarters for duration Feb 2007 -  June 2013 was really incredible and unforgettable. I starkly remember how excited we were to return to Mumbai in 2007 after those troublesome 3 yrs in Virar. The atmosphere is Virar is really good for the health but it's distance from Mumbai City makes life miserable. Travelling in Virar local train demoralizes one and you start feeling as if you are an insect living in the crowd of other insects fighting with each-other just to enter the train. Apart from that impure and irregular water supply and load shedding makes life more miserable in Virar. Above all the worst part is that, we stay on 4th floor in Terrace flat and our building doesn't have lift. To cut it short, life in Virar is really tough as compared to heart of the city Mumbai.

In 2007 when we shifted to Wadala, first time in my life I saw such a big house with 4 BHK with a separate Servant quarter. We lived in D-95,Tarang Vihar,BSNL Quarters situated on Wadala West Station road named after Independence Activist and Islamic Socialist Rafi Ahmed Kidwai. I selected the servant quarter which was almost as bigger as our one room in P & T colony Santacruz (E) where we stayed till 2004 (due to it's privacy). The separate room really helped me to complete my Master's degree in Management Studies (2008-2010). As Dadar was just 15 min. walking from my home, I joined Dadar Sarvajanik Vachanalaya to get access to the books in library. After I parted with Kishore's Brilliant Tutorials; coaching classes where I ran Science stream 11th-12th till 2007; I had only two choices left, either to open my own coaching classes or to go for further studies and I chose the 2nd option.

Teaching helped me in a positive way. I was once again immersed in books and could still think of studies. With some discussion with my friend Pradeep Kothari, I decided to go for full-time MBA. For that purpose I first attended T.I.M.E.'s seminar on 'Career Scope in MBA' in Ruia and went ahead to join their upcoming batch of August 2008. My father wanted me to work in Engineering field but I chose to study further and Join MBA.So for me it was really important to clear CET the same year. Due to the unfortunate delay in my Engineering my morale (towards studies) was really low and I didn't wanted to take risk with CAT so I focussed completely on CET. Fortunately I met good classmates in T.I.M.E. who became my good friends in future. Shailesh Humbre, Rajnath Yadav and Vishal Nandu we all helped each other in studies. We all were from different backgrounds and were good in different areas of aptitude tests; so we complemented each other really well.Amongst us Vishal Nandu was the most brilliant and Rajnath Yadav was the most hardworking student. Shailesh and I realized that we should study together if we really want to crack the CET and we started living in Virar. Shailesh was Commerce graduate and was weak in Maths and being Engineer Quantitative Aptitude was my strength. So I started teaching him Quants and he taught me Reasoning. I was bad in Visual Reasoning. FIgures always jumbled in front of my eyes but Shailesh had picture-memory which always got the patterns of figures correctly. In chilly December month we started our studies more seriously and a time came when we almost immersed ourselves in books to a level that we chose load shedding time for cooking our dinner. Our hard-work paid off. I secured 92% and got admitted to Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Management Studies and Research (BVIMSR), in Belapur Navi Mumbai in first round itself. Shailesh wanted some premium college viz. JBIMS or Sydenham so he decided to take up a Job and try next year. He joined Capita Offshore soon. Rajnath got admission in esteemed PUMBA college Pune and Vishal Nandu in Lala LajpatRai college Mumbai. My tentative date for beginning of college was August 2008 and so I decided to enroll for a 10-day Meditation course in Vipassana which proved to be life changing experience.

Trupti and I we were friends since year 2000, when we first met in UDCT,Mumbai. She was paint's student and I was in Oils. In first year we did some Physics Experiments together as a lab-partner without any hint that after several years she would become my girl-friend. After UDCT we never had any contact with each-other. One fine day, while I was running Silver Extraction Unit ('Silver Sprout') at home she called on my land-line number. It was 2003 and I was in Santacruz itself. Since then we kept in touch on phone and mails. I met her once in 2004 when she was working in Mulund with some Paints company.Soon I realized that we were sailing in same boat. Neither of us had any interest in working in Chemical field and both of us were upset in life due to failure to live-up to expectations of our own - based on our past academic records. So the friendship-cord struck so beautifully that we started meeting frequently. She even visited Brilliant Tutorials in 2005 when I was running coaching classes in Santacruz travelling daily all the way from Virar to SantaCruz .In 2005 December while I was in Kerala with my father; I used to call her every evening to update her about the places I visited with my Mom and Dad.

When we returned from South India in early January 2006 we faced double blow. My mother was admitted to Ashwini Hospital Solapur for Tumor in Stomach and I was admitted to Raghoji Kidney hospital for Kidney Stones; both hospitals in the same area. By God's grace my mother and I, we both recovered very soon. My Mother's case was very serious, so she stayed in Solapur for longer time to complete the course of medicines for 6 months & regular check-ups and meanwhile I returned to Mumbai to resume Brilliant Tutorials again. During my hospitalization Trupti was very much worried about my health as well as my mother's health; she wanted to come to Solapur just to meet me and it was clear indication for me that she had developed great affection and attachment for me.

So after returning to Mumbai I went straight-away to meet her. She was equally disturbed that time as due to skin allergy she had to leave paint industry forever and seek for any alternate way of income. She still tried to struggle in same field, now in Paint factory in Kurla and I continued my teaching at Brilliant. Kurla-Santacruz closeness once again helped our relationship, and we started to realize that we are in love. On a way to Juhu,on one rainy day I proposed her knowing how badly she had developed attachment for me. At that time I was not sure whether I was involved with her or not, I just proposed her for the sake of breaking the ice, which was making our relationship quite awkward. Nevertheless, I realized it very later that I always remained loyal to her, without any expectation and somehow allowed her to enter in the darkest areas of my heart where I never allowed anyone to enter. Realizing my turbulent academic life and painful past she suggested me to seek some counselling, which I refused. And one fine day she declared that she had already filled my VIPASSANA ENTRY form and plainly ordered me to go there. And here I was in the Monsoon of July 2008, sitting on Vipassana Meditation in the Main hall of Igatpuri Vipassana Centre with closed eyes meditating seriously.

.................................................................................to be continued
